School to School Support

School to School Support

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) provides grants for teaching schools and National Leaders of Education (NLEs), to support school improvement by working with underperforming maintained schools and academies. Typically schools who are in receipt of this funding be a maintained school judged by Ofsted as requires improvement or an academy judged as requires improvement or inadequate.

As a Teaching School and National Support School, we have supported a number of local primary and secondary schools with specific areas for improvement, such as raising standards, reducing performance variation, innovations in leading learning, system leadership development and strategic planning. Currently we are leading an initiative through the Strategic School Improving Fund with 8 Warwickshire schools in delivering a bespoke student reading scheme.

We have a National Leader of Education (NLE), Local Leader of Education (LLE) and Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs) who have a proven track record in supporting Senior and Middle Leaders to facilitate school improvement, whose expertise may be suitable.
